Aura Deva was born and bred in Quezon City in the Philippines, to a musical family. She is well known in the Philippines as the lead soprano vocalist of the pop/R & B band THE OPERA. She went on to study at the Conservatory of Music at The University of the Philippines, majoring in Piano with voice as her secondary field of study; however, singing, acting and composing became her main interests.
